历史沿革[edit]
据村名由来的记载，明末该村原名通洲坝，居住着朱姓族群，因战乱几乎举族迁往本镇桥溪村，少数留下的人家改了姓。其后丙村梅花凤形的李怀封一家得岳父谢爱吾相助迁来定居，其住处位于石窟河下游东岸，故名东洲[1]。明朝归程乡县万安都，清朝归程乡县金盘堡，民国时归丙村金盘乡；1962年至1979年属永社大队，1999年起，村民委员会改称东洲村委会[1]。
