历史沿革[edit]
村名的来由是：当地旧时以出产楠木闻名，称楠木村，“楠”与“南”谐音，后改称南福村[1]。清康熙初年，嘉应州程乡县设36堡，南福属雁洋堡；民国三十年（1941年）转属南蓬径乡；1949年后归松口镇管辖；1958年称南福大队，1960年划入雁洋公社，1983年改称南福管理区，1999年起，村民委员会改称南福村委会[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
广东雁鸣湖国家森林公园位于村内，面积769.8公顷，2006年12月经国家林业局批准设立，园内有针阔混交林和约50公顷的野生杜鹃林[2]。笃敬庄为二堂二横屋形制，由杨氏十九世杨国英、杨国兴兄弟所建，与同裕庄、承裕庄并称“三庄”；2017年3月24日被梅州市人民政府公布为第五批市级文物保护单位[1][3]。
