历史沿革[edit]
先民迁到这里时，顺着小溪逆流而上，进入白水寨以内，发现地势忽然变得平缓，便顺势进到里面定居，故名顺里。[1]
明代隶程乡县万安都，清代隶嘉应州龙文堡。1912年隶梅县龙文堡，1931年起分属第八、九区，1941年隶第二区龙文乡，1950年划归梅南区，1956年隶梅南乡，1958年划入梅南人民公社；1987年设顺里管理区，1999年改称顺里村委会。[1]

梅南镇概况称顺里西瓜远近闻名，顺里是西瓜专业村。[2]
