三台村是梅县区大坪镇所辖的行政村，属镇乡结合区。[1]
地名由来[edit]
“三”指三奇山、舞凤山、尖石笔山三座山，“台”出自村里旧时的“台茶”。村中流传：清代瑶上一位村民带本村茶叶进京打官司，途中在船上遇到一位消化不良的大臣，饮此茶后好转，大臣买茶献给皇帝，皇帝饮后亦愈，遂封为台茶。茶产自三山之一的舞凤山，村因此称三台。[1]（此为当地传说）
历史沿革[edit]
沿革与全镇大体一致：清末在大坪堡内，新中国成立初隶梅西区，先后经大坪乡、梅西人民公社，至1960年改隶新设的大坪人民公社，1983年划入梅县市大坪区公所，三台管理区设于1988年，村民委员会之名自1999年起用。[1]
