清连村是梅县区大坪镇所辖的行政村，由三青径和莲塘两村合并而成。[1]
地名由来[edit]
莲塘村旧时有大片荷塘，“莲”与“连”同音；名称合取原两村之字。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清末属嘉应州程乡县大坪保，1948年为梅县大坪乡，1953年改隶梅西区大坪乡。莲塘、清径两村在1958年合并，归大坪公社，编为清莲大队，其后依次称清莲管理区（1983年）、清连村民委员会（1999年）。[1]
