历史沿革[edit]
按时间由近及远，马山镇于2005年12月并入宝口镇，马山村随之归宝口镇管辖；1999年名为马山村委会；1993年属马山镇，名为马山管理区；1987年3月改名马山村委；1984年名为马山乡；1977年改属新设的马山公社；1958年属高潭公社，名为马山大队；1957年12月并入大和乡；1951年12月改属第二十一区，名为马山小乡；1931年8月，马山属惠阳县多祝第三区，名为马山乡[2]。
