井湖村是惠东县宝口镇辖下的行政村，四面高山环绕，下雨时雨水汇聚，像客家民居的天井，因此得名[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
按时间由近及远，1999年名为井湖村民委员会，沿用至今；1989年名为井湖管理区；1987年3月改名井湖村委；1983年名为井湖乡；1963年2月划归高潭公社；1960年名为井湖生产大队；1957年12月并入宝溪乡；1954年名为井湖高级农业合作社；1951年12月改属第二十一区，名为井湖小乡；1950年，井湖属惠阳县多祝区，名为井湖村[2]。2019年9月，井湖村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
