大墩村是惠东县稔山镇下辖的行政村，下辖盐业、农业2个村民小组，约1798人，耕地约354亩。[1]
地名由来[edit]
此地原是海边浅滩上的一座沙墩，涨潮时墩背露出，形似龟，旧称“龟墩”。清光绪年间，曾、陈、罗等姓先祖因近海易谋生陆续迁来，围垦沙墩四周，地方渐大，改称“大墩”。[1]
沿革与荣誉[edit]
此地曾名大海，先设大海管理区、农业生产大队，1973年称大海大队；1984年起改叫大墩，村民委员会于1999年8月成立。[1]广东省爱国卫生运动委员会于2017年10月授予「第一批广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
