名称与沿革[edit]
村子靠近海边，内海面积小，渔民主要捕捞鱿鱼、响螺、海参等，最初叫“小贵”；后人觉得这里临海依山、被称为“小桂林”，改称小桂。[3]
村子建于明朝泰昌年间，人民公社时期为小桂大队，后改称管理区，1999年改称小桂村委会。[2]
2019年9月，小桂村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]大亚湾的主要港湾之一小桂湾即以此为名。[4]
