福石村是长岗镇南部的行政村，与都苗村、前庄村相邻，面积约6.29平方千米，下设8个村民小组，总人口762人（博雅地名网，未注明年份）。距县城20公里，距镇政府4公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名取自辖区内较大的自然村福石。建制依次为乡民会、乡政府、初级社、高级社、生产大队，1987年起称村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
主要种玉桂、水稻和沙糖桔，兼养殖。2021年9月，福石村在广东省第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单中，以杏花鸡入选；2019年9月，入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」。[1]
