历史沿革[edit]
1960年至1962年下放体制时，这里分为珠玉笏、潭头、谢村三个大队，1963年三队并为潭头大队；到1983年称潭头乡，1986年起为潭头农村管理区，1999年起为潭头村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，潭头村进入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2021年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2022年1月，又被省乡村振兴局列为2021年度乡村治理示范村创建单位[1]。
