历史沿革[edit]
相传广西通往海南的古驿道经过此地，牛贩常在此歇脚，村前有小溪流过，故叫牛屋江。1956至1957年，龙窝江同荔枝墩合办和平社，社址在岭背村；此后与官埇、荔枝墩、荔枝坑一起组成和平大队（1958至1959年），1960年各自分设。1983年起称乡，1987年称管理区，1999年定为村委会。[1][2]
经济[edit]
全村有村民4449人，其中党员89人；辖区面积6.48平方千米，有耕地2971亩，经济作物有蚕桑和甘蔗。[1]
