历史沿革[edit]
1957年，东莲塘、新村、飞鼠田三乡并为廉东乡；翌年分出飞鼠田大队，先在廖村办公，1969年移至马兰山村，1986年又迁到廉良公路旁的金步村边。1983年起相继称乡、管理区，1999年定为村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
全村有村民4575人，其中党员94人；辖区面积6.44平方千米，有耕地2312亩，经济作物以蔬菜为主。[1]2021年1月，入选「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」。[1]
