历史沿革[edit]
1950年属第一区，称荔枝坑行政村，1953年建乡，1958年建大队，1966年归附城人民公社，1976年办公地从龙祖尾村移到现址。1983年称乡，1987年称管理区，1999年定为村委会。[1]
经济[edit]
全村有村民3507人，其中党员74人；辖区面积6.03平方千米，有耕地2863亩，经济作物有蚕桑和甘蔗，养殖业较发达。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年1月入选「湛江市2020年度全市先进文明村」及「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」；2026年3月获认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]
