地理与设施[edit]
向东在市第一人民医院一带与新安社区交界，南边是新昌公园，西北濒临潭江。主要街道有潭江西路、东河路、西桥路、武溪路、东溪街等。辖区大部分是三埠新昌的旧城区，分居民住宅区和企业厂区，区内有市第一人民医院、丽都大钟楼，以及原市橡胶厂、糖饼厂、机械厂和青年电影院的旧址。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立初期称东河管理区，到1999年才改为社区居民委员会。[1]
