历史沿革[edit]
清道光年间（1821—1850年），刘、黄、钟、郭、温、周等24个姓氏的先人从鹤山的客家村迁来，住在欧道山、网山、宝鸭山脚的坡地上，地形像虎爪，起初叫虎爪村，建国后改称同和。[1]一说100多年前，原籍惠州的客家人为避宗族械斗，先到山中栖身，后迁至现址。[1]村名取同心同德、和睦相处之意。[1]
民国时期这里属怀仁乡，新中国成立初期并入五和乡。人民公社时期先归五和管理区，后单设同和大队；1984年改乡，现名村委会自1999年沿用。[1]
人口民族[edit]
据博雅地名网，村中约1200多人，除少数外来媳妇外都是客家人。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
周恩来视察新会大泽旧址在村委会所在的虎爪里，2018年7月公布为江门市第七批市级文物保护单位。[1]
