历史沿革[edit]
清乾隆五年（1740年），潮江村秀才林学怡捐出田地，把圩市连到沙涌河口，方便两岸村民交易，取名「沿江」。道光年间（1821—1850年）圩市兴旺，宣统二年（1910年）圩市西移到沙冲，此地商业衰落，逐渐成为村落。[1]新中国成立后设沿江乡，人民公社时期先称管理区，再称大队；1984年改乡，1986年设村委会。[1]
人口民族[edit]
据博雅地名网，村分20个村民小组，当地居民3400余人，耕地1450余亩，党员90余人。[1]2026年3月，沿江村被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
