东门村位于镇东面，距镇政府4千米，属隆江镇，地方上是革命老苏区。村中素有“罗溪东门”的叫法。[1]

地名由来[edit]

宋末已有人家在此，以村东的溪水为名，方志写作“螺溪”，潮州府志则作“罗溪”。明代末年吴姓迁入，居于东门一侧，人丁渐旺，于是有了“罗溪东门”之称。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立那年设东门乡；1956年定名东门村；1958年9月转为东门大队；1983年起为乡政府；1987年为村委会；1989年改为东门管区；1999年回到村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，东门村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
