河东村位于河婆街道东部山区，距县城约3公里，是河婆街道下辖的行政村之一[1]。

地名由来[edit]

1970年一场洪水冲毁原有家园，村民在新址重建，因村委会驻地设在此处，遂称河东村[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1990年成为河东管理区办事处，1999年定名河东村委会，并沿用至今[1]。

社区荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，河东村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
