东南村在榕城区东部，与揭阳实验开发区相邻，是榕东街道的一个行政村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1994年，东南村委会成立，隶属榕东街道。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

村内户数285户，人口1300多人，辖区面积325亩（年份未注明）。[1]

2003年至2008年间，村里多次动员企业主和在外乡贤出资，修筑溪池石篱，美化道路，整治排水排污，又建起老人文化活动中心。[1]

集体投入700多万元，兴建新厝前商铺与二层通用厂房用于出租。村里规划了100多亩的东南工业区，现有大小企业40多家。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，东南村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2021年10月和2022年10月，东南村两次列入淘宝村名单。东南村于2023年5月获广东省爱卫会评定为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]
