新圩镇位于广东省潮州市饶平县中部，是县辖的一个镇，博雅地名网称其下辖30个行政村。镇名来自驻地的圩市：该圩建于民国5年（1916年），原名义安圩，因与原东门圩相邻，改称新圩。[1]

农业是全镇经济的主体，主要产品有青梅、荔枝、龙眼等水果。镇内有两处县级文物保护单位，陈吊王庙在长彬村，大夫第在潘段村。[1][4][5]

历史沿革[edit]

古时此地为元歌都东洋堡的辖地，民国时隶属浮山区。[3]

维基百科所述沿革为：1955年建渔村农场；其后先后设为公社（1972年）与区（1986年），同年又降为乡，直至1989年才建镇。博雅地名网的记载则不同：新圩人民公社始设于1961年6月，新圩区于1983年11月成立，建镇则在1986年11月。两说的建镇年份不同，本条目并列两说。[1][3]

2002年11月，渔村镇撤销，辖区并入本镇，博雅地名网与维基百科所记相同。[1][3]

维基百科给出的1996年数据为：面积23.7平方千米、人口7.5万人，辖区分作15个管理区与渔村居委会。博雅地名网的概况页写辖15个村委会，镇页则写下辖30个行政村；本条目以后一说为准，与数据库所列的30个行政村一致。[3][2][1]

地理环境[edit]

镇地处饶平县中部的丘陵地带，山地有6万亩。[2]

镇域面积有两种记载：博雅地名网作约68平方公里，维基百科作92.4平方公里，二者均未注明年份。[1][3]

东面与福建省太平镇、建设乡毗邻，西面接樟溪镇，北面与浮山镇、东山镇连接，南面与联饶镇接壤。[3]

人口[edit]

2021年6月公布的第七次全国人口普查结果显示，本镇人口数量为2.82万人，在饶平县各镇街中位列第11位。[1]

经济[edit]

农业是全镇经济的主体。全镇水果种植面积为二万多亩，年产水果9000多吨，其中青梅一项年产3500多吨。[2][1]

加工方面，全镇有两家水果加工企业，年加工量均在1000吨以上，另有40多家民营小型加工厂，年加工能力合计2500吨。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年4月，本镇入选农业农村部、财政部公布的「2021年农业产业强镇创建名单」。同年，本镇以青梅入选广东省农业农村厅评定的「第三批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业镇」。[1]

2024年3月，本镇被命名为「2023年广东省卫生乡镇」。2025年5月，本镇入选「广东省“百千万工程”第二批专业镇」建设名单。[1]
