西社村是文祠镇下辖的行政村，由松坑、鸭头洋、鸭背、樟坑、太平坑5个自然村组成，主村为鸭背。村中盛产水果，素有「水果之乡」之称。[1]

村史[edit]

鸭背之名来自地势如鸭背。1437年（明正统二年），廖贵福自登荣石头坑迁居于此，开村立业。1958年公社化时命名西社大队，1999年起改设西社村民委员会。[1]

产业与荣誉[edit]

村中出产柿、杨梅、枇杷和橄榄等水果，设有水果交易市场。山地6580亩，耕地862亩；2005年统计，本村有2675人，分属655户。2020年8月，西社村以枇杷入选首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。[1]
