东和村为潮安区凤塘镇所辖的行政村，又名乌门，位于镇政府西面约2千米处。村内有东和苏氏宗祠，该祠的建筑群跨东和、盛户两村。[1][2][3]

建村[edit]

据苏氏族谱记载，祖籍福建兴化潭头的苏孟客公，于宋理宗景定庚申年（1260年）迁入此地创乡。景定庚申为1260年，与所记年份相符。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年后，村属鹤垅乡；1958年公社化时设东和大队，队名寓意“以和为重”；1963年，东和并入和安寨一队，队名不改。此后，1999年起改设东和村民委员会，至今仍用此名。[1]

文物[edit]

东和苏氏宗祠在东和村与盛户村之间，由大宗祠、小宗祠和巨川公祠组成，年代跨越宋至清。2006年列入潮州市文保名录，2022年7月广东省政府批文将其升为第十批省级文保单位。[2][3]
