金坑村是三江镇下辖的行政村，村委会所属的自然村分布在几条山坑之中。[1]山坑水源充足、鱼类众多，两侧山地土壤肥沃，所种杉树生长快、材质好，村因此得名金坑。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期已有金坑之称，当时属连县。1953年改属连南，设金坑乡；1958年8月为金坑大队。[2]

1961年10月，金坑分成泥楼、坑口、狮颈三个大队；1963年2月三者重新并为金坑大队。[2]1983年冬改为金坑乡，1987年5月改称金坑村委会。[2]1989年设金坑管理区，1999年4月再定为金坑村民委员会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

「第一批广东省卫生村」称号由广东省爱国卫生运动委员会于2017年10月授予金坑村。[1]2019年12月，金坑村列入「第一批国家森林乡村」名单。[1]

2020年12月，金坑村被列入「第一批广东省少数民族特色村寨」，并在同月上榜「2020年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

2023年1月，「第九批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」由司法部与民政部命名，金坑村位列其中。[1]2023年11月，金坑村经认定成为「第三批全国乡村治理示范村」。[1]

「2023年广东省卫生村」的命名时间为2024年3月，金坑村是其中之一；2024年4月，它又进入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]博雅地名网在金坑村条下另载：红星移民新村于2017年3月获国家民委认定为「第二批中国少数民族特色村寨」。[1]
