村名与沿革[edit]

村名来自村委会驻地所在的沙坪自然村。该村1961年10月设为沙坪大队，1983年11月改称沙坪乡，1986年设沙坪村委会，1989年8月改为沙坪管理区，1999年5月又定为沙坪村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，沙坪村位列「第一批广东省少数民族特色村寨」，该批名单由广东省民族宗教部门公布。[1]
