车头村是横荷街道下辖的行政村，据博雅地名网，是横荷街道唯一的革命老区村，位于街道南面，距街道办事处约7公里，村委会设在上冰塘村。[1][2]

革命历史[edit]

1957年，原清远县评划革命老区时，把洲心的上黄塘（今属横荷车头）确定为革命红色游击区。清城区史志部门列出的区内革命老区村庄中，也包括横荷的车头。[3]

黄俊廉（1897年至1952年）是洲心镇车头上黄塘村人，该村即今横荷车头。[4]

概况[edit]

村辖下18个村民小组，人口3287人，耕地面积1972亩，统计年份未注。村地处山岗丘陵与低洼易涝地带，耕作多为「望天田」，以种养为主的生活受到制约。[2]

经济[edit]

改革开放以后，特别是近年，汽配城落户车头村，村委会以此为契机，同时积极发展村民的种养业。[2]
