赤平村是北惯镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域东部，紧靠325国道，村域面积约5.2平方千米，下辖9个村民小组。[1]

村民以种植蔬菜、水果和水稻为主，兼营养殖与办厂，村内建有2000亩蔬菜生产基地，是北惯镇蔬菜外销的重点村。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，平地、赤平、赤光和彭村同属平地都；民国时这一带属第三区，1951年改称平石乡。[1][4] 1956年设赤平乡，1963年改为赤平大队，1987年成为管理区办事处，1999年改为村委会，沿用至今。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

赤平村位于北惯镇东部，村域面积约5.2平方千米，耕地共1520亩，其间水田占1100亩，旱地为420亩。[2]

人口民族[edit]

户籍人口1846人，数据为2014年。[3]

经济[edit]

村中辟有一片2000亩的蔬菜生产基地，是镇里蔬菜外销的主要村子之一。村民还兼营水果、水稻、养殖和办厂。[2][3]

2008年，村集体收入为6万元，村民人均年纯收入5200元。[1] 2024年，东一、东二两个经济合作社采用公开竞价的办法，把一宗土地租了出去。[3]

文化[edit]

村中的林张村曾通过村道硬底化、改水改厕等“五改”工程改善人居环境，赤平村被定为市级生态示范村，村场设有篮球场、文化广场、生态小公园等设施。[2]
