双田畲族村位于新港镇东北部、紧靠万绿湖，是镇辖的一个行政村。村名来自旧时耕地整齐、成双成对的情形。村民以畲族为主，百度百科称畲族占全村96%，村庄被列为广东省少数民族特色村寨。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村地先后称南湖乡（1949年）、双田大队（1958年）、双田乡（1983年）、双田管理区（1987年）等；2007年才设立双田畲族村委会，沿用至今。[1]

文化与旅游[edit]

百度百科称，村中仍留存明朝古井、十字古街与敬慎堂等古迹，有一处县级文物保护单位，南粤古驿道也经过此地。[2]

畲族传统武术「蓝家拳」已进入学校第二课堂，套路含108式攻防动作。农历四月初九，村里举办「蓝大将军出巡文化节」，该活动被列入广东省非物质文化遗产保护项目。[2]

荣誉[edit]

博雅地名网载，本村于2019年9月列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2020年12月入选「第一批广东省少数民族特色村寨」；2021年9月列入「第二批广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」名单，主打产品为鲮鱼；2023年4月列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2024年1月被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]
