白石村属三角镇，城乡分类为村庄。村名缘于本地地势平坦、石灰岩层露出地表，白色石灰石随处可见。新中国成立前，村民多以采石烧灰为业，地下深处也蕴藏大量白石灰石。2023年5月，白石村被认定为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1998年，白石村民委员会才告设立。在此之前，这里先后对应过白石大队（1958年）、白石乡（1983年）和白石管理区（1988年）。[2]
