地名由来与沿革[edit]
旧时村中的古围龙屋是全村十三个姓氏共用的公祠，各姓和睦相处，村名由此而来。[1]
1958年设大队；1983年改设乡；1986年改为村委会；1989年冬分出西园设管理区；1999年设村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，和围村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
