地名由来与沿革[edit]
村名旧称「葫芦磜」，因地形似葫芦，村口有一个深潭，潭水从四米多高的石磜泻下。[1]
清朝时称葫芦磜。解放初，葫芦磜、大地、小地、魏洞四个自然村合为一个行政村，称蒲村。1958年，魏洞、小地自此分出，蒲炉寨与大地并为蒲地大队。此后，1983年由大队转为乡，1986年成立村委会，1989年冬分出大地另设蒲村管理区，1999年重设村委会。[1]
