地名由来与沿革[edit]
村名取意于村址依狮子寨山脉、形似巨龙，又因地势低洼，遇雨易积水成潭。[1]
1958年建大队，1983年改为乡建制，1986年成立村委会，1989年冬撤乡改为管理区，1999年重设村委会。[1]
产业与建设[edit]
2025年，龙潭村建设蔬菜基地，配套采摘园，主打山苏菜、辣木菜等特色蔬菜。[3]
“东江水韵”乡村振兴示范带黎咀段的第一期建设涉及龙潭村，包括龙潭小学改造、农旅研学园等项目。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2021年1月，龙潭村获河源市文明委授予的2020年度河源市文明村称号；2023年5月，获评2022年广东省卫生村。[1]
