西园村是龙川县黎咀镇下辖的行政村，规划为一般村，属生态涵养保护组团。[2]
地名由来与沿革[edit]
西园村辖西坑里、西湖两个自然村，村名取义于二村的村落形如园地。[1]
1958年设大队；1983年撤销大队，与和围合并设为一个乡；1986年改设村委会；1989年冬分设西园、和围两个管理区；1999年重设村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年4月，西园村获评2020年度龙川县文明村镇；2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
