南洋村是紫金县义容镇的行政村，村名与清末彭氏族人到南洋谋生有关，村内的咸水交通站旧址是紫金县文物保护单位。[1][2]

地名与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，清朝末年，迁居此地的彭氏为改善生活，前往马来西亚一带的南洋做工，村名因此得来。[1]1958年称南洋大队，隶属义容人民公社；1983年撤社设区，称南洋乡；1987年设村民委员会，1989年转为管理区，管理区到1999年撤销，村委会随后恢复。[1]

2019年9月，南洋村入选「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单；2019年10月，入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录。[1]

咸水交通站旧址[edit]

咸水交通站旧址在村里咸水的赖氏老屋内，解放战争年代，紫金县的地方党组织靠它与粤赣湘边纵队传递情报，现为紫金县文物保护单位。[2]老屋为清末所建，朝向东北偏西南，格局是前有门楼、中为三间两进、两侧各连横屋；进深24.1米、面阔27.4米；屋顶为硬山式，盖灰瓦，墙身用砖，石砌墙脚，承重靠檩条与山墙。[2]
