南洋村属梅州市丰顺县砂田镇，是一个行政村，在镇域南部，辖14个村民小组[1]。
名称由来[edit]
因村里去海外谋生的人较多而称南洋[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
1958年公社化，南洋大队划归砂田公社；1987年改镇后成为管理区；1999年春起建制为南洋村村民委员会[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
村情材料记载，在册248户、1327人，总面积7.2平方千米，耕地约540亩；主要经济作物为水稻；上一年农村经济总收入433万元[1]。
其他[edit]
2019年9月，南洋村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」之中。扶贫“双到”工作中，由广药集团帮扶，改造了学校和村址门坪，并为60岁以上村民购买养老保险。[1]。
