义容镇社区即义容圩所在的居民委员会，是义容镇政府驻地的镇乡结合区，圩镇的名称来自圩边的两棵大榕树。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
博雅地名网记载，圩最早建于清康熙十一年（1672年），称田心圩；后来圩常被洪水淹浸，道光二年（1819年）搬到现址，起初叫龙岗圩。圩边长着两棵大榕树，“两容”谐音成“义容”，于是定名义容。[1]
1958年成立义容人民公社；1982年把圩镇范围划出，单设义容居委会；2008年更名为义容镇社区居民委员会，由义容镇人民政府管辖至今。[1]
