大陂村是甲西镇的行政村，位于镇的偏远一带，以种植水稻和瓜类为主。村的历史可上溯到明洪武年间，洪武十三年（1380年）立村，当时属海丰县龙溪都。此后行政隶属多次变动。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地最早归海丰县龙溪都。明洪武四年（1371年）设大陂驿；洪武十三年（1380年）立村，属龙溪都十五堡中的大陂堡。[2] 明嘉靖四年（1525年），龙溪都连同此村由海丰县改隶新设的惠来县。[2] 民国时期，村内设保长，为最高管理者。[2]

1958年，此地改隶陆丰县甲西公社。其后，1972年与1974年两次归甲子公社，1973年一度归南塘公社。[2] 1983年设大陂乡，隶甲西区；1987年为村委会，隶甲西乡。1994年转为管理区，1999年又恢复村委会。[2]
