苏坑村在上护镇东部，距县城约18公里，与河口、河田、东坑三个镇接界，周围有鸡公髻嶂、南峰嶂和螺角嶂三座大山；村下9个自然村。[1] 村内留有七处革命遗址。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后叫嶂顶乡，1958年为嶂顶大队；1973年，嶂顶、麻坑各成一个大队；1985年同嶂河村委会合并，1991年嶂顶分出，麻坑并入，合称苏坑管理区；再到1999年，改叫苏坑村民委员会。[2]

地理与人口[edit]

面积11.24平方千米，耕地1130亩，山地16862亩，水田1100亩。户籍402户、2082人，常住仅220人。9个自然村是鱼寮、垅下、大花，以及禾坪、石坑、新建、嶂下、上村和下村。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以种地为主，种水稻，也种沃柑、青梅、梨和柿子。[1]

革命遗址[edit]

镇政府介绍的七处遗址是：嶂顶的东一支后方医院，新口田的苏维埃政府财政办公处，垅下与鱼寮两地的农民自卫军战场，麻坑与石坑两处赤卫队旧址，禾割坪的地下联络站，以及王汉璋烈士墓。[1]

荣誉[edit]
