河口村在河口圩周边，螺河、南溪和北溪三条河在此汇合，当地称「三溪」。村下设8个村民小组，人口三千多人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立前，此地曾编为十二区和河口乡；新中国成立后归陆丰县大安区（第六区）管辖。1952年土改时设河口区，序号为第十区。1957年冬，两个大队合并为河口公社；其间1962年划出新田公社，1964年并回，1966年3月又划出。1968年，河口公社设立革命委员会，1980年又改设公社管理委员会。1986年起称村民委员会，1990年为管理区办事处，1999年再改回村民委员会之名。[2][3]

因靠近圩镇，村民以种蔬菜、做小手工业和小买卖为生。村里通往自然村的公路已混凝土硬化。[1]
