赤坑镇在广东省汕尾市海丰县的东南部，别称青坑，镇政府设在青坑圩。镇下设青坑1个社区和20个行政村；2020年常住人口26316人，户籍人口据镇政府网站为7万多。[1][7]全镇以荔枝和咸淡水养殖著称，另有咸水温泉、长庆寺和正字戏、白字戏的演出传统。1987年1月撤区建镇。[5][7]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代到清代，这一带属海丰县金锡都；民国时期划入第六区。1949年10月解放，次年建政仍为六区。[5]1957年分设赤坑、沙港两个乡，翌年两乡合并为赤坑人民公社。1964年，高大乡一部分划出另立大湖公社，杨埔乡一部分归陶河公社，其余仍属赤坑公社。此后体制再变：1984年3月公社改区，1987年1月区改为镇。[5]

关于镇名，博雅地名网说法是：大革命时期这里是赤卫队活动的中心，为纪念赤卫队的赤诚，雅称青坑的地方改称赤坑。[5]镇内南土、船坞等村另有大革命时期的农会和苏维埃旧址，见各村条目。

地理环境[edit]

镇域东北隔东溪与陆丰相望，西北邻陶河镇、可塘镇，西南接汕尾市城区的东涌镇，东南以羊牯岭山脉与田墘、大湖两处为界。[1][4]镇政府驻青坑圩，往海丰县城是27公里，到汕尾市区则是15公里。[1]

据镇政府网站，全镇面积117平方千米，其中山地约15万亩，水面6万多亩，耕地近3万亩，当地因此有「七山二水一分田」的说法。[1]百度百科所载面积为103.13平方千米，两处数字不同，条目并列。[7]年平均气温约22.2摄氏度，年降水量约2400毫米，年日照约2032小时。[1]

交通上有汕可公路、陶赤公路、陶大公路经过，镇区离厦深铁路东涌站约3公里，离深汕高速的埔边出口约10公里；水路经流冲河通往东溪、西溪，再入红海湾和碣石湾。[1]

赤坑是海丰县的荔枝产区，种植面积近3万亩，2021年9月入选广东省第三批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业镇（荔枝）；2024年又获评「广东省荔枝专业镇」。[1][5][7]东溪两岸有海水、淡水养殖场，养对虾、蟹、白鳗和罗非鱼，另有鸭及鸭蛋，「赤坑红仁蛋」是其中的出名产品。[1]

2003年全镇工农业总产值为3.95亿元，其中工业产值约2.09亿元、农业产值约1.86亿元。[6]百度百科记2017年工农业总产值为12.44亿元，增幅7.2%。[7]在2023年4月公布的名单中，赤坑镇被列为广东省乡村治理示范镇（2022年度）的创建单位。[5]

文化[edit]

赤坑一向有「戏剧之乡」的称法，当地保存并演出正字戏和白字戏。镇政府网站说全镇有7个民间剧团，分布在沙大（正字戏）、石望（玉春香、鸿兴正字、白字三团）、茅湖和大化（白字戏）等村，外加龙兴潮剧团，从业者数百人，曾在海陆丰各地及港澳演出。[2]

南塗村每年正月初十举行「开灯日」：村民回乡祈福，共饮灯茶，最后以「抢炮头」收场。2026年2月26日这一年的活动里，传统戏曲与现代舞蹈、乐器演奏同台。[9]

1971年岗头一带的鹤发村开挖水渠时，出土大批钱币，有唐代的开元通宝，以及宋代至道、景德、熙宁、宣和等年号的铜钱。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

赤坑咸水温泉的泉眼在长围村辖的长陇一带，距汕尾市区约15公里。水质为氟、氯化物和硅质矿水，氡含量高，被归为放射性氡泉；主出水口形成一方长3米、宽2米的热水池，周围150米内有二十多个出露点。镇政府网站两处对水温的记载不同，一为50至59摄氏度，一为70至75摄氏度；出水量约每天40吨。规划的温泉旅游区占地1.5平方千米。[1][3]

长庆寺的创建年代，传说可上溯到南宋宝祐二年，即公元1254年；明代曾重建，当时叫长明寺，到清乾隆三十年才有了现名。据镇政府网站，寺在茅铺村南面的山脚，朝向西方，前后各一座殿，因前殿供华佗，民间叫它「华佗庵」。光绪十六年重修后，寺前加了香亭。僧人常住的情形止于民国三十年，1993年10月起作为佛教活动场所登记开放。[2]

赤花楼是赤花村下的一个自然村，清代出过武进士吴占，村里有三条半直巷、八角井和两座旗杆夹，祠堂光远堂内悬有「将军第」匾额。[8]

赤沙水库位于镇内，1958年12月开工兴建；库区汇水范围23平方千米，各部分库容合计1905万立方米。[10]
