船坞村在赤坑镇西南侧，又称全福村，辖全福、八发、船坞3个自然村，2500多人，耕地2500多亩。^[1]^[2]

村名由来[edit]

相传古时这里是停船的海岸，建有码头，人称「船坞」；后来海岸变成滩涂良田。别称「全福」，取全体村民幸福之意。^[1]

村北原有一座三开间的「租馆」，大革命时期曾充作海丰县六区苏维埃南路指挥处。1928年2月初敌军大举进攻，中共六区委员会为应变在此设处，指挥赤卫队坚持作战，至1929年初撤离。六区失守后，敌人用来不及运走的60多铁箱煤油纵火，全福村被烧去一百多间房，11名赤卫队员牺牲。如今旧址只留下断墙。^[1]
