桐埔村是陶河镇西南部的行政村，离镇政府约2.5公里；东边与陶西村交界，南边是金锡村。自然村有桐埔、新建、新厝、高田四个。[1]

沿革[edit]

新中国成立初属六区陶河乡，公社化后归陶南大队；1974年自陶南大队分出，另立桐埔大队。[2]金锡村1973年曾并入桐埔，到1990年才再分出。[2]此后1984年改乡，1987年建镇后称村委会，1998年复设沿用。[2]镇政府的历史概述抄录了村中颜姓祠堂的对联，联语说其祖先源出山东，辗转经漳州而来。[3]

人口与经济[edit]

约436户2100人有户籍，约138户520人常住；占地8758.5亩，耕地1728亩。稻田约1500亩，荔枝约280亩，村里在推进「红灯笼」荔枝等项目。[1]茶叶使桐埔村在2021年9月入选第二批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2023年4月，列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单；2023年5月，得名「2022年广东省卫生村」。[2]
