杨东村是陶河镇东南部的行政村，离镇政府驻地约4.1公里；以杨北村为西邻，杨南村为南邻，东边与赤坑镇茅湖村接壤。[1]
沿革[edit]
此地在清乾隆年间属金锡都杨古埔。[2]楼下和太平圩两个自然村在1962年脱离杨北大队，一度单设「太楼大队」，不久回并；1979年二村再度分出，组成杨东大队，1987年起称村委会，1998年复设后沿用。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
自然村只有楼下、太平圩2个。约276户1340人有户籍，约54户180人常住；耕地1212亩，稻田约900亩，另外种番薯。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2023年5月，该村得名「2022年广东省卫生村」。[2]
