沿革[edit]
陶北乡是1952年从陶河乡划出设立的；公社时期曾并入五四大队，又一度以港口为大队，1963年起仍称陶北大队；其后1984年改乡，1987年改为村委会，1998年复设沿用。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
约600户2600人有户籍，约120户300人常住；占地约480公顷，耕地3025亩，村里没有山坡地和林地。稻田约2800亩，村民收入靠种田和外出打工。[1]
樑美楼[edit]
樑美楼位于港口自然村，镇政府资料称它始建于清乾隆年间，有200多年历史，是县级文物保护单位；博雅地名网则记，汕尾市人民政府在2022年3月公布它为市级第三批文保单位。[1][2]镇政府的历史概述还写到，港口村四世祖吴邦樑是贡元，官至文林郎；陶北一带的三宫渡口曾是革命时期的交通站。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2023年5月，该村得名「2022年广东省卫生村」。[2]
