杨西村是陶河镇东南部的行政村，距镇政府3.8公里，陶赤公路穿村而过。[1][2]

沿革[edit]

村域在清代同属金锡乡杨古埔。1957年归陶河乡杨北大队管辖，1984年新圩、新厝、上埔三村从杨北大队独立，立杨西乡；1987年更名村委会，1998年复设沿用。[2]

人口与经济[edit]

全村5.3375平方千米，耕地1138亩，林地4346.5亩。约413户1820人有户籍，约110户300人常住。稻田约1000亩，兼种番薯、荔枝；镇政府资料说，村里的杨西市场可以带动农贸和农村物流。[1]2021年9月，奶油南瓜使杨西村入选第二批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，该村得名「2023年广东省卫生村」。[2]
