和平村在联安镇西北部，平原与山地交界处，面积约4平方千米，下辖5个自然村，350余户。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

最初是1955年的和平初级社：由联川社划出望斗坑、长埔、杨梅坑、横石、石古箖，联北社划出石古、望斗坑合成。1958年成和平大队，翌年并入联英大队；1964年5个自然村又自联英分出，因驻地长埔村而名长埔大队。1984年称乡，1987年设长埔村委会，1989年称管理区办事处，1998年复称村委会，其后更名和平村委会，沿用至今。[3]

经济[edit]

耕地1280亩，种水稻、玉米、番薯；生态林2800亩，渔塭140亩。村民收入主要来自种植和外出务工。[1]

荣誉[edit]

省农业农村厅2021年9月公布的第二批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村名单中，该村的项目是火龙果；2023年度广东省卫生村的命名（2024年3月）中有该村。[2]
