金银村是兴宁市刁坊镇的行政村，在镇政府东面约2.5公里，辖13个村民小组，610户、2495人，面积约4平方公里，耕地1775亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立前，这里分属大桥乡的三村、四村，1954年分别叫金光社、银光社，1958年成为两个大队，1963年并成一个，各取头一字，叫金银[1]。其后依次改为乡（1984年）、村（1987年）、管理区，1999年设村委会[1]。

经济[edit]

村里种水稻，也养桑蚕，据记载该年全村农村经济总收入1822万元[1]。
