瑶岗村是兴宁市刁坊镇的行政村，距镇政府约1.2公里，辖15个村民小组，1585人，面积约3平方公里，耕地1275亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

旧时村民在此设窑烧制红砖瓦，原名窑缸；“窑”与“瑶”、“缸”与“岗”读音相同，渐渐写成瑶岗[1]。1950年代后期设瑶岗乡，1958年改瑶岗大队；1961年起新兴、建兴、四联三个大队先后从中分出，1984年瑶岗与建兴合并成瑶岗乡，1987年4月设瑶岗村，1989年改称管理区，1999年4月又恢复村的名称[1]。

经济[edit]

村里种水稻和冬瓜，据记载该年全村农村经济总收入1125万元[1]。瑶岗村获「第一批广东省卫生村」称号，由广东省爱国卫生运动委员会于2017年10月授予；2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单[1]。
