大新社区是兴宁市兴田街道的社区，在街道中段，辖8个村民小组，全区面积约2平方千米。[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区之名是因这里是从一大片地方中划分出来的一块。[1]现名定于2004年，此前的叫法有街公所（1949年初）、大新管理区（1958年）、大新街革命委员会（1968年）、大新街居委会（1983年）和大新街办事处（1989年），1999年一度又称居委会。[1]
