招田村隶属五华县梅林镇（梅州市），位于镇境南部。据博雅地名网，村内设15个村民小组，登记372户、1948人，面积6平方千米，耕地1173亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

相传徐氏九世祖从大都迁到这里，见土地肥沃、灌溉方便，取富饶之意，称招田。[1]

招田一带在1949年设招田乡，1958年起改设大队；乡政府之称见于1983年，1989年又改称管理区，直到1999年才定为招田村委会。[2]

经济与荣誉[edit]

  • 2019年9月，进入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
